Make your data more useful and increase the visibility of your research!

When defining samples in the Momentum Transfer App, there are two categories of information to be entered. The first is for registering samples for measurement and is accessed when a sample is created, or by selecting an existing sample and clicking “Edit” to update sample identification, composition, and safety information. The second category of information is for including sample metadata. This is important for data provenance, tracking, and to help with analysis later on.

To input metadata for your samples:

  1. Sign into your account on https://app.momentum-transfer.com/
  2. Navigate to the 'Samples' tab
  3. Click on any sample and select ‘Edit metadata’

4. Fill out the metadata as thoroughly as possible (the more information the better)

5. For similar samples, metadata can be copied to another by selecting 'Pick sample to pre-fill form', but please be sure to adjust any details where that particular sample is different from the other one.

If information for certain fields is unknown, users can always come back and update the fields later. We encourage all users to try out the metadata functionality. This is the first version and any feedback about additional useful fields or any technical issues is highly appreciated.

Make your data more useful and increase the visibility of your research!

Completing this metadata is essential to the success of the OSCARS / MatScatNet project, and we therefore request all participants to do so. This will directly enhance the power of the tools to be built. Thank you for your continued collaboration!
