How will FAIR data be handled and what about the embargo period?
Under the FAIR data model, you have an exclusive embargo period of 2 years from the date the data are made available to you. During this time, the data are only accessible to you and your designated collaborators. This period gives you time to analyze the results and prepare publications before the data becomes available in our open-access database. Embargo periods may be extended if more time is needed, and researchers will be acknowledged for their contributions.
The standard embargo period for OSCARS/MatScatNet and all other free trial projects is six months. This can also still be extended if needed, but is generally shorter so that we can populate the database sooner. Users will still be acknowledged for the entries.
